Salzburg-born Demuja has previously released his smoky and soulful House music on the likes of Freerange
Records, Toy Tonics, and Shall Not Fade, and his own MUJA imprint. On his latest EP, he cooks up four
tracks comprising the many different moods of House, effortlessly crafting another timeless set of tracks.
Opening cut 'Work My Body' sees supersized chords and hi-hats fuse for an emotionally raw and intense
House track that will kick-start any party. 'Deep Inside Your Soul' follows, a warm track with deep, dubby
kicks and washed-out late-night pads, topped off with a gorgeous vocal while elastic bass and snappy hits
provide the perfect finishing touches.
'Bonzai', a collaboration with Cologne-based PIV and Berg Audio associate Kolter, channels Chicago with
its rasping analogue basslines and razor-sharp percussion before a lush breakdown leads into super classy
territories. 'Piano Track' closes proceedings with dusty drums and wonky chords making for a tense and
paranoid yet totally driving affair.
Demuja’s ‘Higher Places EP’ drops on 4th August 2023 as a Beatport exclusive, following singles ‘Work
My Body’ on 21st June, ‘Bonzai’ on 12th July, and a worldwide release on 18th August.
